Sebastian Janik
Beginning in 2019 Sebastian Janik found a way to combine his love for hockey with the demands of a MA Journalism program. He first began reporting about the UA Wildcat hockey program in the fall of 2019 and continues to in 2022. For the 2021-2022 season, Sebastian joined the UA Wildcat hockey media broadcast team being responsible for equipment setup, on-air play-by-play, and coordinating additional media content to be shown during intermissions.
Sebastian has worked as an apprentice at the Arizona Daily Star both in the sports section and Caliente covering a variety of different topics and events for the Tucson community.
He is a devoted hockey fan and has a passion for traveling especially to Japan. After graduation, Sebastian plans to continue pursuing his dreams of covering professional sports and travel writing.
Sebastian has a bachelor's degree in Political Science and will be completing his master's in Journalism in the Spring of 2022.
